We do not give out player names here at RakeRacers, but we would like to note the achievements of a PokerNordica Rake Race Champion we'll refer to as RacerX. He first joined the rake races here at RakeRacers.com in August of 2008, and immediately took down the top prize that month. And then again in September. As of this writing, he has an enormous lead and is well on his way to winning the October PokerNordica Rake Race, making him our first and only three time race winner. We caught up with RacerX via e-mail to ask him a few questions about his poker play, and this is what he had to say: RakeRacers: When did you start playing online poker? RacerX: In March 2007 my friends told me about poker. At first I thought it is pure gambling but a friend explained that it is played against other players and that most of the decisions are pure math. So I tried play money games and freerolls on the Prima network. A week later I made my first deposit, 25$. Managed to play with it almost a month in NL5 Texas Holdem. I lost it and made a new deposit 20$ and after that I haven't used my own money anymore. RakeRacers: What is your favorite game and limit? RacerX: I play mostly Texas Holdem cash games mostly NL100 and sometimes NL200. Lately I started to play tournaments and this month I have won 2 of them and got to final table 4-5 times. RakeRacers: What do you enjoy about PokerNordica that keeps you playing there so often? RacerX: Good cash games, lot of tournaments and nice features in their software. For example, if you go all-in with another player, your cards are exposed instantly (not only in tournaments but also in cash games) and the percentages are calculated after every card. Also there are table "Deal it twice". If you go all-in, you can choose if you want that turn and river would be dealt twice. For this to work you and your opponent both must confirm it.
RakeRacers: Do you think you can take the top rake race prize in November as well? RacerX: I hope so, because every month I'll try to play little bit more than previous month:) Good Luck, RacerX, and thanks for enjoying our rake races!
